Finding Clarity Within the Pause
Over the past week, the cosmos has asked many of us to pay attention.
Whether that arrived through unexpected conversations, shifting emotions, sudden insight, changes in direction, or simply an inner sense that something was beginning to move, the astrology has been anything but quiet.
Now, the energy begins to change.
Rather than continuing to push us outward, this week’s astrology invites us inward. It encourages us to slow down long enough to understand what the previous week’s experiences may have been trying to reveal.
One of the greatest gifts astrology offers isn’t prediction—it’s perspective.
It reminds us that while we may not always choose the circumstances we encounter, we can choose how consciously we respond to them.
Let’s explore the week ahead.
Mercury Retrograde in Cancer
June 29 – July 24
Mercury Retrograde often gets an unfair reputation.
You’ll hear people blame it for missed emails, delayed flights, technology glitches, and communication mishaps. While those experiences certainly can occur, focusing only on the external misses the deeper invitation this transit offers.
Mercury governs our thoughts, communication, perception, learning, and decision-making.
Cancer governs our emotional landscape, memories, family, intuition, and sense of safety.
When Mercury begins moving retrograde through Cancer, we’re invited to revisit the emotional stories that quietly influence how we think, communicate, and interpret the world around us.
Sometimes we discover that the way we’ve been responding isn’t actually coming from the present moment.
It’s coming from something much older.
A conversation from years ago.
A childhood experience.
A fear of being misunderstood.
A belief we’ve repeated so often that it feels like fact.
Mercury Retrograde invites us to gently ask:
Is this still true?
Not every thought deserves to become a belief.
Not every emotion deserves to become a reaction.
Sometimes they’re simply asking to be witnessed.
✨ In the Light
Emotional awareness deepens.
Old conversations find resolution.
Intuition becomes easier to hear.
Reflection creates clarity before action.
🌑 In the Shadow
Emotional reactivity.
Miscommunication.
Living from outdated stories.
Allowing fear to speak louder than wisdom.
Coming Off the Mars-Uranus Conjunction
Although the exact conjunction occurred on July 4, its influence remains active throughout the beginning of this week.
Mars represents action.
Uranus represents awakening.
Together they create electricity.
Sometimes that electricity shows up externally.
Unexpected news.
Sudden changes.
New opportunities.
Other times it shows up internally.
A realization.
A shift in perspective.
A moment where you simply know something can no longer stay the same.
The temptation with Mars-Uranus is to immediately act.
The invitation is to consciously direct the energy instead.
Ask yourself:
Is this reaction…
or is this alignment?
That question alone can completely change how this transit unfolds.
✨ In the Light
Courage.
Innovation.
Authentic action.
Breaking old patterns.
🌑 In the Shadow
Acting impulsively.
Nervous system overwhelm.
Frustration.
Mental restlessness.
Monday’s Sun Square Saturn
Monday begins by asking us to slow down.
Sun-Saturn aspects have a way of revealing where greater structure, patience, and maturity are needed.
That doesn’t mean something is wrong.
It often means something important is being built.
If life feels slower than you’d like…
don’t mistake delay for denial.
Some foundations simply take longer because they’re meant to last.
Neptune Retrograde Begins
On Tuesday, Neptune stations retrograde in Aries.
When Neptune stations, its symbolism becomes amplified.
Neptune asks us to look honestly at the dreams, identities, ideals, and narratives we’ve created.
Where have we been inspired?
Where have we been avoiding?
Where have we confused hope with reality?
Retrogrades don’t remove the illusion.
They simply invite us to become aware that it exists.
And awareness is always the first step toward freedom.
Venus Enters Virgo
Thursday brings one of my favorite shifts of the week.
Venus leaves Leo and enters Virgo.
Love becomes quieter.
Beauty becomes simpler.
Care becomes intentional.
Virgo reminds us that love isn’t only spoken.
It’s practiced.
Sometimes love looks like:
Making the appointment.
Cooking the meal.
Cleaning the home.
Listening without fixing.
Keeping the promise you made to yourself.
Because Venus simultaneously forms a harmonious trine to Chiron, healing may arrive through these small moments rather than dramatic breakthroughs.
Never underestimate the power of consistency.
Mercury Cazimi
By Sunday, Mercury meets the heart of the Sun.
Astrologers call this a Mercury Cazimi, a brief window where Mercury is said to be “in the heart of the Sun.”
Symbolically, it’s one of the clearest moments of the retrograde cycle.
Something may finally click.
Not because you’ve forced the answer.
Because you’ve finally created enough stillness to hear it.
Pay attention to:
dreams
conversations
journal entries
intuitive nudges
unexpected moments of understanding
The answer may arrive more quietly than you expect.
Working With This Week’s Energy
This week’s astrology isn’t asking you to become someone different.
It’s asking you to become more aware of who you already are.
Notice your reactions.
Notice your assumptions.
Notice your inner dialogue.
Then gently ask yourself:
Is this response aligned with who I’m becoming… or who I’ve always been?
That single question may become the greatest gift this week’s astrology offers.
Final Thoughts
Astrology doesn’t remove uncertainty.
It simply gives us a language for understanding it.
As Mercury Retrograde continues inviting reflection and this week’s transits encourage greater awareness, remember that every planet offers both a light and a shadow.
The goal isn’t to avoid challenge.
The goal is to meet each moment consciously enough that challenge becomes transformation.
I hope this forecast helps you navigate the week with greater clarity, compassion, and trust in yourself.
If you’d like to explore these energies more deeply each week, I’d love to welcome
you into the Astralis Circle, where we continue these conversations through weekly astrology, tarot and oracle guidance, and a community devoted to intentional growth.
Remember, the planets may influence the energy around us—but our awareness determines how we choose to work with it.
From under the stars ✨
